Sovraffollamento (6 detenute in una cella di 3 metri per 5), carenza di personale medico (per via dei continui autolicenziamenti), riduzione delle ore d’aria (2 al giorno invece delle 6 previste dal regolamento penitenziario), costante ritardo nella somministrazione delle terapie, cibo immangiabile.
Le leggi sulla clandestinità come reato, sulla criminalizzazione delle droghe e l’aumento di pene per i recidivi stanno riempiendo le carceri. Degli esempi emblematici: a Rovereto una ragazza è stata condannata a 4 mesi di detenzione per il furto di due birre in un supermercato... Stefano finito in carcere senza ragione è morto nel giro di poche ore.
La tendenza è chiara: si vogliono risolvere i problemi sociali carcerando sempre più poveri.
Dal 23 al 25 maggio i detenuti hanno protestato rifiutando il cibo dell’amministrazione penitenziaria e battendo le sbarre per tre volte al giorno. La protesta si è estesa poi anche al carcere di Trento.
Presìdi spontanei, rumorosi e solidali hanno portato da fuori un po’ di appoggio.
Facciamo sentire ai detenuti in lotta che non sono soli.
